All drums are made to the highest quality and include extra tuning rope. Drums are made from Gimbo wood and all stock is from sustainable resources under licence to the Gambian Ministry of Agriculture. Drum makers are a collective group of craftsmen who have been making drums from generation to generation.

The income from these drums is being reinvested, as part of an artisan cultural project being set up to develop a Gambian music centre for established, and new artists, under the direction of well known Gambian performer Abdel Kabirr.
